Els sucres es transporten per tota la planta en el floema. El floema utilitza el transport actiu per transportar els nutrients dels aliments com la glucosa i aminoàcids per la planta.
La glucosa es produeix a les fulles per fotosíntesi. La glucosa es converteix en sacarosa a les fulles, que després introdueix als vasos del floema, com els aminoàcids. Després es transporten per tota la planta fins cadascuna de les cèl·lules.
Les àrees de la planta on es produeix la sacarosa s'anomenen fonts, i on es diposita, dipòsits.
El floema utilitza el transport actiu perquè la sacarosa es mou contra el seu gradient de concentració des d'una concentració més baixa, on es produeix, fins a una concentració més alta a les cèl·lules del floema.

In this video, we are going to look at parallel lines. To find the equation of parallel lines, we still use the y=mx + c equation, and because they have the same gradient, we know straight away that the gradient ‘m’ will be the same. We then just need to find the missing y-intercept ‘c’ value.

Plants have developed responses called tropisms. A tropism is a growth in response to a stimulus; so light and water in the plant’s case.
There are different types of tropisms: Positive tropisms are when growth is towards the stimulus - so the plant growing towards the light to maximise the stimul
