Popeye the Sailor - Assault and Flattery

Bluto takes Popeye to court for assaulting him without provocation with Judge Wimpy (eating a hamburger) presiding. Popeye the Sailor Man is a colorful cartoon character created by Elzie Crisler Segar for a comic strip in 1929, and since then made into numerous cartoons. The beefy sailor invariably finds himself in a hopeless situation that can only get resolved by his gulping down the contents of a can of spinach to gain superhuman strength. Other characters in the Popeye series include Olive Oyl, his girlfriend and Bluto, Popeye's arch-rival.
