0:00 → 0:02
So we're going to put our radiator cover together.
0:02 → 0:07
Inside the box, we have the front, the top, the two sides,
0:07 → 0:10
and a little package of hardware that you're
0:10 → 0:12
going to find enclosed in the packaging, probably
0:12 → 0:15
under a label that says small parts enclosed.
0:15 → 0:19
So you're going to want to find all the hardware and set it aside
0:19 → 0:20
before recycling the packaging.
0:20 → 0:23
So the first thing we're going to do is make sure that we've got a surface
0:23 → 0:26
that we can assemble the radiator cover on without scratching the paint.
0:26 → 0:31
We're going to make sure that we have a Phillips or a slotted screwdriver
0:31 → 0:34
and the assembly hardware and all the parts ready to go.
0:34 → 0:36
And now I'm going to put the top away because we're not
0:36 → 0:37
going to need it for a moment.
0:37 → 0:41
And we're going to flip all the parts over so
0:41 → 0:44
that we have the assembly holes facing up.
0:44 → 0:47
So now we've got all the assembly holes facing up.
0:47 → 0:50
We've got some smaller holes, some intermediate size holes,
0:50 → 0:51
and larger holes.
0:51 → 0:53
And all we're going to do is identify the small ones
0:53 → 0:55
and put a dowel into each one.
0:55 → 0:59
Each radiator cover will have two or three of these,
0:59 → 1:03
depending on how tall it is.
1:03 → 1:08
So you're going to want to fasten each dowel firmly
1:08 → 1:11
and completely so that that flared base on the dowel
1:11 → 1:14
is completely flush with the wood.
1:14 → 1:43
So now we're going to put a cam in every hole drilled for a cam.
1:43 → 1:47
These longer cams with an outrigger have a smaller hole next to them.
1:47 → 1:50
Some of them, on certain covers, will just have the larger hole,
1:50 → 1:54
and then you'll have a cam that's just the front larger component.
1:54 → 2:36
So now we're going to put a cam in each of these holes.
2:36 → 2:37
It takes a little bit of force.
2:37 → 2:40
You just want to make sure you line it up with the two holes,
2:40 → 2:44
and then press it down firmly.
2:44 → 2:49
It looks like they sent us an extra cam, which we don't need,
2:49 → 2:50
so we're going to set that one aside.
2:50 → 2:53
So I've lined all the parts up to make it very easy.
2:53 → 2:55
We're just going to grab the side panel
2:55 → 3:00
and make sure we line each cam up with each dowel, as so.
3:00 → 3:04
And now from this side, I'm just going to hold the side flush.
3:04 → 3:07
And with my screwdriver, tighten each cam.
3:07 → 3:11
It just takes about a half a turn, 180 degrees or so.
3:11 → 3:27
And now I'm going to do the exact same thing with the other side panel.
3:27 → 3:31
Line each cam up with a dowel, hold the side flush,
3:31 → 3:34
and tighten each cam about 180 degrees.
3:34 → 3:46
Okay, that was pretty easy.
3:46 → 3:48
Now I'm going to stand this up.
3:48 → 3:55
So now that we're done putting this together, we're going to put the dowels in the top panel.
3:55 → 3:58
So I've got the top panel lined up.
3:58 → 4:02
I'm going to put a dowel into each of these smaller assembly holes.
4:02 → 4:06
A longer cover will have more, a shorter one will have fewer.
4:06 → 4:08
So it's just like we did before.
4:08 → 4:14
We're going to put a dowel into each hole and tighten it until that flared edge on the
4:14 → 4:22
dowel is flush with the wood.
4:22 → 4:51
We're going to drop the front edge of it into the cams, and then we're going to lower the
4:51 → 4:57
back of the top, and just slide the parts around until it falls into place.
4:57 → 5:04
It may take a little bit of convincing, but now you'll see that everything's nice and
5:04 → 5:06
level.
5:06 → 5:14
We're just going to tighten each cam, again, just like we did before.
5:14 → 5:29
Each one takes about 180 degree turn to be fully tightened.
5:29 → 5:31
We're all done.
5:31 → 5:36
And that is a perfect fit.
5:36 → 5:38
