0:00 → 0:03
There's a couple mistakes when you're thinking about value proposition.
0:03 → 0:08
What is that? What you're building might just be a feature of someone else's product.
0:08 → 0:11
You might have a good feature extension, but it might not be a business.
0:11 → 0:16
Or it might be a business for about nine months till the incumbent just adds that in their next release.
0:16 → 0:20
As I said earlier these prioritizations of pains and gains
0:20 → 0:25
sometimes helps you avoid the “It's nice to have” problem.
0:25 → 0:28
So sometimes it's very easy for founders to say, well they all liked it.
0:28 → 0:36
Well okay, what you really want is they don't like it, they gotta have it! In fact, they didn't let me leave until the like they let me use the prototype.
0:36 → 0:38
That's when you know you have a business.
0:38 → 0:44
It has to be something that people demand and there have to be enough of them to demand.
0:44 → 0:49
You might find, yeah, I found the five people in the entire world that love the product,
0:49 → 0:51
but that might not be a large enough market.
